My Story
I have always been a person focused on efficiency. I love designing products that automate tasks, improve processes, or let you do new cool things. Or even the same things with a productivity boost.
My journey as a UX designer started after a couple of failed projects working as a developer.
Most of the time, developers receive a written document from some Subject Matter Expert. That was about all contact with the user/customer/stakeholder until implementation. That was when users were disappointed. They were receiving a very different thing from what they were expecting. Iterating again from the beginning was too expensive, not only in money but also in time. I have experience working in both small companies and larger corporations such as Amazon and HP, where I encountered similar challenges and recurring errors.
After each mistake, I found myself frustrated. So, I started to look for solutions to my problems. I realized that the more I dedicated to design and keeping the user in the loop, the less I had to code. Then my performance improved because I could release new tools and features faster. I kept iterating over my development process to improve my productivity, adding:
– user research, to better understand the needs, behaviors, motivations, and pain points of users,
– focus groups, to gather in-depth insights and qualitative data about participants’ attitudes, perceptions, opinions, and experiences regarding my products,
– prototyping, to test and validate design ideas, functionalities, and user interactions early in the development process,
– user testing, so users could find out and propose solutions for anything that might not work as expected.
Without knowing UX Design, I created my process, focusing on intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. This newfound enthusiasm led me to research and learn more about it. I decided to transition to UX design, turning my past setbacks into a fulfilling career focused on enhancing user experiences. Learning is one of my passions. I am continuously doing it; for example, I recently obtained my: Google UX Professional Certificate.

Outside of Work
I have a passion for sports, particularly basketball, which I’ve played throughout my life. Additionally, I’ve practiced various other sports such as beach volleyball, tennis, swimming, running, football, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and hiking. I thrive in collaborative environments, valuing teamwork and the collective effort needed to accomplish shared objectives.
Apart from sports, I enjoy cooking, especially enjoying the results. Above all, I love spending quality time with my family and friends.
